On Thursday, the House passed a budget, already having cleared the Senate, which allows us to pass a tax cut bill with a 51-vote majority in the Senate. With that, the path toward tax reform remains difficult, but we maintain the best opportunity for tax reform in decades. Our GDP has grown by more than 4% in just two quarters since 2012, and wages only just started to recover relative to inflation. A tax code that takes too much from our paychecks and distorts the decisions of businesses across the country is a huge part of the problem.
