Tours and Tickets

All tickets are provided to constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances. For information on sightseeing and attractions, please visit the Washington, DC Tourism Information page.

Requested Tours

Please be aware the White House is not offering tours from November 18th to November 24th and December 22nd through January 1st. 

White House tours are normally offered Tuesday to Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The White House does not allow for specific time requests so you must be available during that entire time for dates that you request.

Please choose three dates everyone in your party is available to tour the White House. Tours are available Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The tours are self-guided.

White House tours may be submitted up to 3 months in advance, but we ask that you submit your requests no later than 3 weeks before the desired tour date. Unfortunately, White House Tour dates are not guaranteed, so please allow ample time for the White House to process your request and all related security information.

Each person in your tour party must submit security information to the White House via a link they provide.

Library of Congress tours are also very popular for people visiting Washington, and can be scheduled for free very simply by visiting

*Please note that late March and early April are Spring Break for many schools within the Sixth District and our office is experiencing a heavy volume of tour requests for those weeks. Be aware that you may not receive all requested tours during that time.*

What are these options?
Constituents who are hard of hearing or use a video phone have the option to choose TDD or VP based on the type of device they are using. This allows our office to respond to them accordingly. The default option "Voice" is a standard audible telephone.
